Throughout my career I have been committed to using the principles of behavior analysis, and I love to teach others about its practical applications. My consultation and supervision clients have included individuals, agencies, and schools throughout the U.S. and Canada, the U.K., India, and the Middle East. I am currently based in Baltimore, MD.

In addition to over a decade providing mentoring services and BACB exam preparation classes, my past experience has included serving as:

  • Behavior Analyst for pre-K/elementary age autism programs at Humboldt County Office of Education, where I was responsible for technical assistance, consultation, staff training and program development for 30 school districts and several county classrooms throughout Humboldt County;
  • Behavior Analyst for Redwood Coast Regional Center, where I oversaw quality assurance, technical assistance, and training for behavioral services for individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages throughout Humboldt and Del Norte Counties;
  • Director of Training and Resources for Behavior Analysts, Inc., a nonpublic agency in the San Francisco area providing consultative and classroom-based services for children with language delays, where I developed agency training programs, workshops, and distance education courses for parents, classroom staff, teachers, school psychologists, and other professionals working with children with autism.

My clinical focus remains on developing intensive early intervention programs for children with autism and other language delays, based on analyzing the child’s verbal behavior and motivation. The focus of programs I consult to includes structured discrete trial teaching in classroom and home settings as well as an emphasis on natural language training within the context of everyday activities. While I continue to provide a limited amount of consultation and training to agencies, schools, and supervision clients, my newest focus is on developing training, assessment and curriculum tools through projects with the VB3 collaborative, using a synthesis of Skinnerian verbal behavior analysis and relational frame theory.

In addition to a Masters degree in clinical psychology, I have a graduate certificate in open and distance learning, and I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. I am currently in the Ph.D. program in Applied Behaviour Analysis at the National University of Ireland, Galway. I have served as the Professional Standards Chair for the California Association for Behavior Analysis, and sat on the continuing education review committee for the BACB. I have been conducting workshops and study groups for individuals preparing to take the Behavior Analyst certification examination since 1998.
